What the Heck am I doing here

We've all heard a speaker, friend, loved one, colleague or teacher tell us to "Follow our Hearts", "Find your Passion", "Be true to yourself" but what if you don't have the slightest idea how to go about doing it? What do you do if it feels like you are "spinning your wheels" at all moments of the day and even wake up in cold sweats wondering if tomorrow will be the day where you find out why YOU are Here? When and how will you find out what your "Purpose" is.

Ever felt like this? Have you ever had those conversations with yourself? Do you feel stuck? Are you working a job that you don't know why your working? Are you with someone for reasons you just can't seem to rationalize? Do you know deep in your heart that there is something "More" out there for you? Are you lost? Too many people walking this earth are lost. Too many people have absolutely no clue on why they are here and what they are supposed to be doing. Are you one of them?

If any of the above resonated with you then think about this.

Many books, coaches and seminars talk about passion and purpose but at the end of the day they are made out to be these HUGE overwhelming things. If you can't put your head immediately around them then they get bigger and more overwhelming until you start to spin.

If you think you haven't found your passion yet, you're probably expecting to much and working too hard to find it. Instead, just notice what excites you or what scares you on small moment-to-moment levels. What gets your blood boiling? What attracts you? Where do you go and spend your free time? What sites do you browse? What book sections do you visit? What magazines do you pick up? What countries of the world do you dream about going to? What job is it that you follow or pay attention to? What traits do you admire in others? All of these are small signs that are giving you clues to you purpose and living with passion?

Take the next week and before you go to bed write down the things in your day that have caused you fear or made your heart skip a beat. Just jot them down. Simple, just like this:
Oct 27, 2009
-Article about Poker playing celebrities
-Seeing a new Jujitsu Dojo in my community
-Kevin Carroll Red Ball book and contact
-Talking with Kathy about monetizing The 365

These were some of my fear/skip a heartbeat moments today. Are they aligned with my passion and purpose. You BET....

Take the time to write down your daily moments for a week and then on the 8th day sit for a moment and look at them. Are there any consistent trends or paths? Are their duplicates? Is there something constantly poking at you and begging for your attention? Is this your "Purpose" calling at you to take action?

Let me know? I would love to hear. Better yet, email me at the365effect@gmail.com or find me on Twitter @the365effect and send me a message.
